Maxima Recognised Internationally as a Customer-Friendly Business

The Maxima Latvija retail chain has become the first business in Latvia to be awarded the International Certification Association ICERTIAS’ highest caliber global award and certification in the Customers’ Friend category.
 
The Swiss-based International Certification Association ICERTIAS’ awards are certifications of quality for businesses and products which are globally recognised and acknowledged by the business world. ICERTIAS has awarded Maxima Latvija in the Customers’ Friend category based on a thorough survey and analysis of the company’s operations in accordance with ICERTIAS’ methodology.
 
“This level of international award is a hugely significant achievement for us. First of all, it is a testimony of the close cooperation between our customers, our team and our partners. Our customer is our  focus, and it is the customer who makes their choice and decides which store to shop in. When running our operations in the store chain, introducing strategic innovations and setting long-term goals, we think about how to provide a better shopping experience for our customer. ICERTIAS’ main evaluation criteria are made up of 4 categories and 22 sub-categories, and awards are given for initiatives strengthening relationships with customers which have already been implemented or begun, in areas such as convenience, accessibility, competitiveness, innovation, social responsibility, value for money and quality, based on a thorough review of operations in accordance with ICERTIAS’ methodology. ICERTIAS was founded in 2011 and implements three certification programmes - Best Buy Award, QUDAL – QUality meDAL and Customers’ Friend. ICERTIAS certifications have been awarded to a range of businesses worldwide, including such global leaders as Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Nestlé, Hewlett Packard, Unilever, Heineken and many others.
